As part of the European Erasmus+ programme ARIES (Augmented and Immersive Reality for Improved Education in Schools in Europe), the pilot phase of implementing and integrating augmented and immersive reality technologies into the educational process was carried out at the Model EPAL of Trikala.
Ten (10) teachers from the Model EPAL of Trikala participated in the pilot phase, developing twelve (12) learning units.
These learning units covered a wide range of subject areas, including Greek Language, Computer Science, English Language, Construction, STEM – Arduino, and Graphic Arts. Augmented reality experiences were designed using digital tools such as Halo AR, Adobe Aero, Delightex (formerly CoSpaces), and Cosmote Chronos.
Teachers had the opportunity to implement the lesson plans they had developed across multiple classes and grade levels within the school. In total, 215 students benefited from this pilot phase.
