ARIES at AI & Open Data #Palermo Datathon (June 13–14, 2025)

During the AI & Open Data #Palermo Datathon (June 13–14, 2025), we had the pleasure of presenting the Erasmus+ project ARIES

 – “Augmented and Immersive Reality for Improved Education in Schools in Europe”

It was inspiring to showcase how ARIES is developing low-cost, open-source immersive AR tools to support high school teachers and students across Europe. The project, coordinated by CNR-ITD Palermo, promotes engaging training modules that can be easily integrated into school curricula.
  Many thanks to the entire SMERALD team, the ARIES & CNR colleagues, and all Datathon participants for their enthusiasm and for making these days so rich in practical and applicable insights!
